On news of Steve Jobs' death today, we take a look back at some of the big moments in his tenure at the iconic electronics company he co-founded. Onstage at WWDC 2007 In recent years, Jobs regularly took to the stage at Apple events to reveal the latest fervently awaited gadget or software upgrade from the company. This image shows him at Apple's Worldwide Developers Conference in San Francisco on June 11, 2007, where he told software developers what they could expect at that time from the iPhone, just over two weeks before the landmark smartphone first went on sale. 1976: Apple 1 manual cover 1977: Ad for Apple II It was a year later, with the Apple II, that the company really took off. "Unlike the earlier Apple I, for which users had to supply essential parts such as a case and power supply, the Apple II was a fully realized consumer product. Design and marketing emphasized simplicity, an everyday tool for home, work, or school, " says a write-up on the Web site of the Computer History Museum.

Everybody else I worked with got just as annoyed with her, but there was nothing we could do! She always had the receipt, always had the shoes in perfect condition and was never aggressive or rude at all, on the contrary, she was actually quite friendly. it was just bizarre. One day I asked the assistant manager whether she knew what the heck this woman's deal was and why she kept doing this, and it turns out that about three years before I started working there, she had been interviewed for a job but got rejected. She had just been looking for something a few hours a week as she was retired and just wanted something to do. Since then, every time a vacancy would come up, whether it was managerial or sales assistant, part time or full time, she would post in her CV. My manager would recognise it and remember she wasn't really suitable for the role so would just reject her cv straight off the bat. Since then she's been coming in nearly EVERY DAY in this cycle of returning shoes to try and catch our attention and get a job, as she knew the manager would have to come out and process the return.

" Coming out of college with a Civil Engineering Degree, I knew I needed to stay active and my love of construction was in the field. Starting with Walsh as a Project Engineer, I was able to develop a strong knowledge base, but after two years, I knew I wanted a more hands on role. Within Walsh, they were able to give me the opportunities and resources that I needed to transition into an Assistant Superintendent. Through classes, trainings, and site visits I was surrounded by Superintendents from around the Country where I was able to gain experience and built a network of resources who ultimately pushed me to become a Superintendent running multiple bridge crews. Walsh has supported and pushed me to become the leader that I am today, and given me the opportunities to travel, meet and learn about the many different elements the construction industry has to offer.
