Photo by Christina @ on Unsplash While interviews can make anyone nervous — whether you're an introvert or extrovert — I think that interviews can be particularly nerve-wracking for introverts. I'm no stranger to interviews. Over the past five years, I went through a long and difficult job search. There were spells of underemployment and unemployment, rounds of second and third interviews, heaps of rejection letters and periods of self-doubt. As hard as that time was, I'm immensely grateful for it. I became a more resilient person who learned to push through hard times, accept rejection and see her own worth. I also gained solid experience with job interviews. As an introvert, I can sometimes find it difficult to get out of my head and into the moment. I also prefer familiar situations over unfamiliar ones. And I take time to open up to people. So interviews were definitely something I used to stress over. But with experience comes wisdom. Through my experiences, I've learned how to balance preparation with instinctual knowledge, ground myself with meditation, live in uncertainty and acknowledge my introversion.
