New Aldi in Woodbury Work began recently to transform the closed Bottom Dollar location on Broad Street in Woodbury into an Aldi discount grocery store. (Matt Gray | For) (SJN) So, you're planning to visit one of the Aldi stores hosting a hiring event Wednesday. Events will be held from 9 a. m. to 6 p. at its stores on White Horse Pike in Stratford and MacDade Boulevard in Collingdale, Pennsylvania. The grocery store chain is looking to hire 350 people to fill openings in South Jersey and the Greater Philadelphia area. With Aldi reopening several locations it purchased when Bottom Dollar closed last year -- including stores in Woodbury, Glassboro and Bellmawr -- the demand for employees is pretty large. What to expect at the hiring event: Those attending Wednesday's event will fill out applications and have a brief conversation with a hiring manager, explained Chris Daniels, director of operations for Aldi's Center Valley Division, which covers eastern Pennsylvania, and all of New Jersey.
Hey there! Welcome to the Digital Spy forums. If you'd like to join in, please sign in or register. Hi there, my sister has been invited to a group interview on Friday for a store assistant. Apparently there will be six candidates and they will be set problem solving tasks, I presume to see how they get on with team work etc. Has anyone been to one of these? Also any advice help for the one on one interview Many thanks 0 Comments John259 Posts: 21, 930 Forum Member ✭✭✭ I hate group interviews. They seem such a lazy way to interview people. Just learn about the company and show an interest. I went on a group interview once, not with Aldi but another retail chain. It was an interesting experience, we were set lots of different tasks to do, there was also a role playing exercise, and we had to fill in a questionnaire type thing. I just tried my hardest to be as involved in the group exercises as possible and take the lead where I could. I got the job. Been on one of these and it was horrendous, that was circa 5 years ago now though.
This means walking the aisles and making sure the store meets Aldi's high standards. Wherever you're needed, that's where you'll be! As you stock and organize shelves, you'll also act as the eyes and ears of the store. You'll clear any hazards or dangers around the store to keep staff and customers safe. Also, if there are any issues with the items being sold, you'll be the one to let management know. This job will be great for you if you're the kind of person who likes to multitask. You'll also enjoy this job if you love helping customers and continually learning from all the tasks you'll do. Cashier This entry-level position is slightly more focused: you'll be operating the sales register, mainly. Here, you'll help to collect payment from customers. Since you'll be talking to customers, you'll also be helping them with any questions they may have. In this role, you'll also be responsible for taking care of confidential documents. These include things like payment receipts. Don't forget: you're part of a team!
